Sale of Assets of Rainbow Masterbatch Ltd to Allied Color & Additives NZ Ltd

We would like to announce that Allied Color & Additives New Zealand Limited (ACANZ) and Rainbow Masterbatch Limited have signed an agreement for the purchase of Rainbow’s assets.

The conclusion of the transaction took place on 12th July 2010 after a comprehensive separation process and the necessary approvals.

ACANZ will retain the current resources, staff and manufacturing plant in East Tamaki, Auckland New Zealand.

ACANZ is directly affiliated with Allied Color & Additives Pty Ltd which a privately owned business that has the people, technical skills and industry knowledge to support ACANZ and that of the local industry.

Allied Color & Additives Pty Ltd has a long history in the masterbatch business. It has a strong customer focus, an enviable reputation for innovation and a total commitment to continuous improvement. March 2010:

ANNOUNCEMENT - Maryanne Mason
We wish to advise the retirement of our Sales Manager Maryanne Mason, effective March 31st.

Maryanne has been a valued and integral member of staff and Management for over 15 years, and has been an essential part of the growth of ACA during her time with us.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Peter van Schaik as Sales Manager, effective April 1st

Peter has significant experience in colour, having worked in both technical and sales roles in the paint and printing ink industries.

During March Peter will be working alongside Maryanne to provide a seamless transfer of the Sales Managers role. This will give our business contacts the opportunity to say goodbye to Maryanne and meet Peter.

ACA / Hubron combine “Down Under”
Allied Color & Additives Pty Ltd , a leading supplier of Additive and Coloured master batches, and Hubron (International) Limited, one of the World’s leading black masterbatch manufacturers, with 35,000 tonnes per annum manufacturing capacity and ISO 9001 accreditation, have agreed to cooperate in the Australian market.

ACA will represent Hubron in Australia from April 1st 2010, with Hubron’s extensive range of black masterbatch “fitting” perfectly with ACA’s position in the colour and additive masterbatch market.

ACA will stock and sell Hubron’s masterbatch throughout Australia promoted by ACA’s sales team and supported with regular visits by Hubron’s commercial and technical people.

Hubron’s black masterbatch range encompasses polymer specific grades, such as PE, PP, PS and SAN, as well as universal grades and engineering grades including PA and PC.

The Hubron product range is suitable for film applications, such as agricultural, horticultural and geomembrane, as well as pipe, sheet, compounding, fibre, injection and blow moulding.


Hubron has been making black masterbatch since 1934 (initially rubber and since 1971 plastic) – try the specialists who focus on black!
